Bran Castle – The fortress is situated on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia. Commonly known as “Dracula’s Castle” the Construction started in 1377, In 1438–1442, the castle was used in defense against the Ottoman Empire, but Vlad the Impaler ( also known as Dracula) only was known to pass through the area.
Sadly to say, none of the content of Bran castle is original, the castle’s content had been auctioned off, seized by the state, or pillaged. So one needs to look at the architecture and surroundings of Bran Castle and not its contents. These are museum pieces generously donated to give visitors an idea of how the castle might have been.
